Lionsgate has bought the action-thriller “Hunter Killer,” starring Gerard Butler, Gary Oldman, Michael Nyqvist, and Common, and given it an Oct. 26 release date.

The film is directed by Donovan Marsh from a script by Arne Schmidt and Jamie Moss from the 2012 novel “Firing Point,” by Don Keith and George Wallace. The story is about an untested American submarine captain who teams with Navy SEALs to rescue the Russian president, who has been kidnapped by a rogue general.

The film has had a quirky journey to the big screen.”Hunter Killer,” produced by Neal Moritz, was originally developed at Relativity Media in 2015 with CEO Ryan Kavanaugh on board to produce — before Relativity filed for bankruptcy protection.

Zane attended the premiere of the film, Battle Scars, yesterday in Beverly Hills, California. Also at the premiere were his co-stars, Amy Davidson, Kristen Renton and Heather McComb; executive producers, Lane Carlson and George Young-Warner; director, Danny Buday; and soldiers. Check out 11 high-quality photos in our gallery! Don’t forget, the film is released in select theaters and video-on-demand on July 14th!

Zane Holtz Web is celebrating its first year anniversary online today! Thank you to everyone who has visited the site, and of course, to Zane.

I wanted to have a gallery update to celebrate, so you can now find 404 high-resolution screencaps from the 2014 film, 7 Minutes, wherein Zane starred as Owen, alongside Luke Mitchell and Jason Ritter. Some caps are a bit blurry due to the action scenes, but I included some anyway.

Check out the first trailer for Battle Scars, starring Zane Holtz, Heather McComb, Ryan Eggold, Fairuza Balk, and David James Elliot. The film will be available in select theaters and video-on-demand on July 14.

After a tour of duty in Afghanistan, Luke returns home to a violent world every bit as dangerous as the war he so desperately tried to leave behind. Suffering through P.T.S.D., Luke must face his past in order to finally find his way home.

After some unconfirmed news on whether the pilot would be moving forward, it’s officially confirmed that the CW will not proceed with Searchers. Really unfortunate news as the pilot sounded really great, but I’m hoping the pilot they shot would be released.

After several days of deliberations, the CW has opted not to proceed with pilots Insatiable and Searchers. Insatiable is being shopped elsewhere, and I hear there is interest.

Insatiable had strong internal support, though it was different than anything else on the CW. Meanwhile, Searchers had a bumpy ride and required re-shoots, but the final cut came in OK, and the project had great pedigree coming from The 100 creator Jason Rothenberg and the network’s top producer Greg Berlanti.
